things have gotten interesting, to say the least.

Oh, hey. We meet again.

Lots has happened since our last tete-a-tete, but I’m only in the mood to share some highlights/lowlights. Like my back-to-blonde hair. (See what I did there?)

Let’s start with…me quitting my job. Without another one lined up.

Yah, that happened.

So unlike me, I know. And it’s never something I would have done unless I was in the position I was in – I won’t go into the details – but I’m kind of excited about what might happen next. I’ve never made this kind of blind leap of faith before, so I’m really just taking one day at a time to really figure out what and where I want my next move to be.

I’ll keep you posted.

On a more “planned” note, this past weekend, one of my best friends tied the knot, and I was lucky enough to be part of the big day. It looked something like this.

More shots of the gorgeous day can be seen on the photog’s blog.

Moving on…later that night (during the reception), I fractured my foot.

Doing the running man.

Yes, the running man.

As many people did/do not know what the running man is, Big Sister so graciously recorded herself doing a (rather stellar) version. Here’s that.

“How can you fracture your foot doing that?!” You ask/Mama asked?

I don’t half-ass dancing. Obviously.

Anyway, my foot now looks like this.

Please disregard my ghastly toenails.

So now, I’m on crutches/have to stay off my foot for the next four to six weeks, which honestly really sucks. I’m (obviously) clumsy enough as it is, so two arm extensions don’t really make things (i.e. walking) any easier.

Oh, and then yesterday, Boyfriend and I took Puppy Preston to the vet because he was doing this weird squinty-eye thing, only to find out he has something called uveitis, which means it hurts to keep his poor, sweet little eyes open. We have to put drops in 2-3 times a day for the foreseeable future. It seriously makes me cry to look at him.

And then, I got this in the mail.

Someone just burn my house down. It’d be easier.
